Events

Calmfire Calm is a 2 hour event that will take you away from the outside world, and bring you in to a world where self-care is most important.
We want to take you to a place where time melts away, as you escape the stress of the outside world.

Rebecca Matthews is a Yoga teacher specialising in Yin & Vinyasa, a Personal Trainer, Pilates instructor and mindfulness
meditation teacher specialising in meditation for women’s well-being. Bek’s 10+ years in the fitness industry and teaching Yoga has given her so much insight:
“As I now aspire to impart the knowledge I have learnt through my own life lessons and years of study I am honoured to be asked to teach at this event with this foundation that’s mission is not only to give everybody the opportunity to find well-being through exercise but is also in alignment with my belief that exercise is healing for the body and mind and can lead to a life of less stress and worry, resulting in a life that feels more empowering.”

It is an absolute honour to have Bek with us and she will be teaching a 55 minute class during the first part of the evening.

The campfire is the place where we find relaxation and joy, so the perfect place for our evening’s activities…

The event is based around our indoor simulated campfire, with beautiful music provided by Paul Leeder. This event intends to create the feeling of relaxation under the stars, as the campfire burning bright signaling the power of strength.
After the guided relaxation, there will be time to replenish your soul with light refreshments before we engage in some fun, low-key self-care orientated games to end the night in the perfect memory making way.

All fitness abilities are welcome. Bek will be giving plenty of options for everyone.
Please ensure that you wear shoes to the event, and that you bring your own mat, towel and water for everyone’s comfort and hygiene. If you would like to bring a light jacket also, it may get a little chilly.

This one night event, is being held to raise money for the Sarah Ford Foundation. The Sarah Ford Foundation is gaining momentum and notoriety as a start-up not-for-profit whose aim is to help women who have experienced domestic violence, homelessness and/or poverty, to access fitness for their mental health. The Foundation aims to work with the Armadale locality. We are currently in discussion with some service providers in the realm of domestic violence with the Perth South-East Metropolitan region. As we are currently seeking registration with the Australian Not-for-profit and Charities Commission (ACNC), we are currently ineligible for any grants or funding. Your donations will help us to set up our services with the necessary insurance and other administrative and training requirements, so that we can move forward with our work.
